Cambellsville University Carver School of Social Work announces the first recipient of the Substance Use Disorder (SUD) Area of Focus Scholarship Award, Ms. Ashton Robertson. The scholarship was established to award $500.00 scholarships to one to two students per term in acknowledgement of academic work to further their Social Work career in the substance use disorder field of practice.
Ms. Robertson is a first-generation college student who graduated from the University of Southern Indiana in 2021 earning a Bachelor of Social Work with a double minor in Psychology and Criminal Justice. Ashton currently interns with River Valley’s Amethyst Center, which is a treatment center for women with SUD who are pregnant or have children.
